Real Food Projects engaged us to create a brand identity system for their exciting new organisation. Their mission: to connect people to the story behind their food through exciting and innovative projects and events.

Real Food Projects needed a flexible identity that could encompass the numerous facets of the business as they grew. The modular identity system developed allowed for an interchange of the word 'project' so that Real Food projects could expand to Real Food Cooking School, Real Food Wine, Real Food Jam, whilst reinforcing the distinctly recognizable identity.

At the onset of all projects, we engage in research to fully understand and position our clients business in the competitive landscape. The important values reflected throughout the identity are simplicity, authenticity, local, sustainable and responsibility to small producers and the planet. We took the approach of a simple colour palette: black and white with natural, raw materials conveying a strong and honest brand.

The Real Food brand has gained strong brand recognition within a short timeframe. The first two pop-up stores celebrated sustainable, ethical and local food hand-crafted by a range of Sydney-based artisans, chefs and urban farmers receiving overwhelming response from communities and media. Since then, the cooking school has been launched. Client: Real Food Projects.

I commissioned Vivien Sung Design to create the brand identity for our new organisation Real Food Projects. Through her careful listening of my ideas and excellent process of iteration, she crafted a brand identity for Real Food Projects that really resonated with me and my audience. I can't recommend her enough for any design and branding work. Kate Walsh. Founder, Real Food Projects
